        How DWF is responding to COVID-19

        As the volume and geographic spread of cases of COVID-19 continues to increase, DWF has been reviewing the actions it needs to take to enable our business to continue operating effectively whilst ensuring we are doing all we can to safeguard the wellbeing of our people, our clients and other stakeholders.

        A summary of the actions we have taken to date is provided below:

        We are limiting travel as much as possible, both internationally and domestically. All of our people have been told that only business critical travel is permitted at this time and that anybody booking travel must seek approval in advance. We are encouraging greater use of video conferencing, Skype and teleconferencing facilities.

        We want to mitigate the risk to our people, clients and other stakeholders posed by large events and meetings. We have decided that all DWF events and meetings with 25 people or more must be rearranged to a later date, hosted by webinar or cancelled. We are also encouraging our people not to attend third-party events where 25 people or more are due to be present. These steps apply to all events currently scheduled until the end of May.

        Agile working
        As a business we are already supportive of agile working and most of our people will have experience of working from home using their laptop or a home computer through our secure email portal. We have emphasised our support for colleagues who wish to work from home at this time, subject to approval from their line manager to ensure any necessary office cover remains. We are also working with each part of our business to identify additional people who may need to be provided with remote working capability.

        Facilities support
        Our Facilities teams in every office have been provided with World Health Organisation posters providing details of personal hygiene best practice. We have hand sanitiser available in every office and in some offices, staff have been provided with disinfectant wipes for use on desks, keyboards and telephones.

        At the request of our Executive Board, a Response Team has been set-up with representatives from Risk, HR, Health & Safety, Facilities and Client Development. The Response Team meets daily to review developments and identify additional actions we may need to take. The Executive Board is meeting regularly to review the activities of the Response Team and provide decision making and other guidance as needed.
